As a luxury custom home builder in Florida’s Gulf Coast, we build communities, so it only makes sense that we would give back to the neighborhoods we serve. We pride ourselves on communication and connection, and that doesn’t stop after your closing date. We continue to make connections in our communities, so we can support one another.
Community involvement is important because it fosters a sense of belonging, encourages civic participation, and promotes overall community health. By being actively involved in the community, we can contribute to positive change, and build relationships with others. Community involvement can take many forms, such as volunteering, participating in local events, or advocating for community issues. Regardless of the form it takes, involvement in our community is a powerful tool for creating a positive, vibrant, and connected society.
Seagate’s Community Involvement Initiatives
Seagate Development Group is not only a leading custom homebuilder in Naples, but also a dedicated community partner. We are deeply involved in the Naples area, participating in and sponsoring numerous local events and charitable efforts. Their community involvement includes supporting local schools, contributing to food drives, and sponsoring local non-profit events. Seagate believes in giving back to the community that has supported our growth and success.
Tools for Teachers
Teachers are so important to creating the amazing school systems we are able to enjoy in our communities. We participated in Tools for Teachers by collecting supplies specific to their needs and classrooms, supporting our Lee and Collier County Teachers. Why? 90% of teachers spend their own money on necessities for their classrooms. We want to help by supplying educational tools, decor to inspire learning, books, and other supplies! Below is a count of the supplies that were donated, over $5,000 of supplies were purchased and distributed in our community.
13 bottles of glue, 54 boxes of crayons, 9 tissue boxes, 9 packs of index cards, 7 scissors, 13 pencil boxes/pouches, 10 rulers, 8 expo erasers, 4 reading books, 33 dry erase markers, 2 dry erase boards, 12 dry erase paper sleeves, 2 cube class games, 140 calendar magnets, 30 velcro, 50 packs of colored pencils, 14 notepads, 18 packs of markers, 24 glue sticks, 17 packs of pencils, 6 pencil sharpeners, 13 pack of pens, 8 pack of highlighters, 8 paper packets, 42 notebooks, 14 comp notepads, 5 packs of sticky notes, 50 folders, 11 eraser packs, 4 tote bags
We were fortunate to have an amazing opportunity through our Tools for Teachers Supply drive for Franklin Park Elementary, a Title 1 school still recovering from Hurricane Ian. Despite their portable classrooms, they continue to offer Blessing Backpacks for weekend meals, uniforms, clothing, and collaborate with The United Way for student support. We're grateful for the chance to be a part of your journey, and we eagerly anticipate seeing your new building in the upcoming year!
Car Wash Benefitting Gulf Coast Humane Society
Nothing says fundraiser like a good old-fashioned car wash. In collaboration with the GulfCoastHumaneSociety.com, we organized a fantastic event featuring a car wash, complimentary hot dogs, played some corn hole and ladder ball, and had a whole lot of fun! Nearly $2,000 was raised from the Grillin’ and Chillin’ Car Wash at Seagate. In just 5 hours, Seagate’s Community Involvement Team managed to raise an impressive amount of money for our furry friends. It was a well-spent afternoon filled with good-times and community spirit!
Angel Tree Fort Myers 
The Seagate Team embraced the opportunity to join The Salvation Army of Lee, Hendry, & Glades Counties for the Angel Tree Project, and the experience was truly heartwarming! Watching those angel tags disappear and get replaced with numerous gifts under our trees was incredibly moving. Thanks to the generosity of our Seagate Team and the many others that have donated, 3,800 children from Lehigh and Fort Myers received a Christmas gift from this drop site. A special shoutout to Margaret and Pat for the enlightening tour, showing us the meticulous process of evaluating, sorting, and distributing each Angel tag. A huge thank you to our Seagate Community Involvement Team for making this wonderful opportunity possible! And, kudos to everyone involved in making these Angels' Christmas extra special.
Christmas Bike Build
Seagate had the opportunity to team up with the Lee County Sheriff Department for a Bikes For Tykes event held at the Miramar Outlets. A total of 55 bikes were built by teams sent by 50 of our Preferred Construction Professionals and Trade Partners, bringing together approximately 150 individuals for a heartwarming cause! Then, some of our Community Involvement Team had the joy of personally delivering bikes to children from Franklin Park Elementary School, the The Salvation Army USA - Project Angel Tree in Fort Myers, and to the Boys and Girls club. What an honor to be a part of this most rewarding event.
Habitat for Humanity Lee and Hendry Counties
As part of our commitment to community outreach, we partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties to sponsor the construction of Bree's new home. It's an honor to be involved in this life-changing experience. Together, we're not just building a house; we're constructing hope, stability, and a brighter future for Bree. Bree's not only benefiting from our support but also paying it forward to help others in similar situations.Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties.
